P2P is the source of all evil. At least that's the impression one might get from reading this USA Today article.
Beginning a dialogue about online habits can be difficult, even when kids are receptive, says Anne Collier, creator of NetFamilyNews.org, a weekly online newsletter. "It's too hard to explain to Mom and Dad what they're doing online, and it's just daunting. ... Even though more parents are becoming aware of file sharing, it's still not top-of-mind for them."
Okie dokie, this is such an important issue that could not possibly be covered by like, giving the kid a set of values and morals while growing up.. nope, this is the modern birds and bees talk..
"Sit down junior, we need to talk. Have you heard of the bits and bytes?"

Oh boy! I just can't wait for the FTC release of Dewie the Turtle 1.0 beta! Then I'll never have to worry about spyware...
Just an opinion on the music industry: I really cannot feel bad for the music industry with regard to P2P file sharing. Just one look at mtv or vh1 and you will find just how much they're hurting. Ever see a musician with gold teeth, gold chains, and a gold plated car? Watch mtv and vh1. Ever wonder about the lifestyles these people lead? Watch mtv cribs. Ever see these people's stock options and how readily they squander it? Watch the news.
Hey I know, aside from giving our own children a set of values and morals, lets start a program giving the same to industry people.
I don't mind making Britney cry, listening to her music makes me cry.
