"When I was growing up.."

Am I the only one who finds these forwards horribly annoying?

"When I was a kid life was so great! Now it sucks! We have to wear seatbelts now!"

Yah, life was terrific, just great and now it bloody sucks.. Yes, doctors no longer make house calls but you don't have to die from pneumonia either.

Things changed.. women can vote, races are less segregated and if a woman is raped she doesn't have to move out of town shamed.

Times change, move along now and stop listening to the media so much.. times aren't as bad as they make them out to be.

We seem to be on a downward slide to oblivion, with two possible outcomes; either things level off and we achive a stable level of suckiness, or things spiral out of control and we are doomed to a future where turning on the tv to a night of Jerry Springer re-runs seems like heaven. When were times better???? If I look back in my cultural history, the last ten years has been the only time in almost 1500 years my culture and its people were not oppressed! Now they prosper, as with many other cultures.

Jerry Springer is a funny show! The introduction of the Springer Cam was brilliant!!!

I think being an adult sucks! The credit card debt and 20 year mortgage only insure a future as bleak as my present. My 40+ hour work week and my insatiable need for sleep have become most of my life. Last weekend I consitered going to the doctor for a scrip for xanex.. To smooth out the anxiety and stress.. But decided instead to spend the weekend as a teenager.. I laid in bed watching cartoons and eating cereal all morning then went innertubing down the river beer in hand with my best friend all afternoon.. It was a blast.. for a day life was worth living.. But alas Monday had to come again.. LOOKING FOR THE EXIT>>
