Newsflash: it snowed in the Northeast.
I attempted to dig my car out this morning but gave up due to the knee-deep snow and lack of a decent shovel or plow truck (he came, he left and I'm still snowed-in, hoping he's planning on coming back!). Instead took a walk and snapped a couple of pictures.. literally couple.. For some odd reason the lens on my camera kept fogging up so majority of the pictures I attempted to take did not come out. The "no parking" sign is near my house, cute, no? |

we call that a "level 3 snow emergency" around these parts...

If you take a camera from a warm place to a cool place, it'll tend to fog. Warm places tend to have more humidity, cold air is drier. If the camera was inside, I'm not surprised. You're better off taking it outside and NOT putting it in pockets or otherwise trying to keep it warm, that makes it worse. It needs to adjust to the local temperature (within reason).
#I call it snow day, except I'm on February break...
#I have nothing against snow, I love snow, really I do, but why did it have to start to pour down the day after I placed my order for new memory for my laptop? I planned on getting this on saturday, Second Day Air, but no, nature had to kill my order and now I will be lucky if I see it by the end of this week. Let's here it for snow!
#Having spent a lot of my childhood in CT, this is a pretty familiar sight. Here in the San Francisco area, snow--even seen at a distance on a remote hill or mountain--is rare.
On the topic of picture #1 (20030218/snow.jpg), it looks amazingly like the driveway of our previous house in the NW corner of the state. I doubt it could be such a coincidence (given that I happened upon your site after looking at headlines at UK's The Register), but she sold the house a few years ago. It was on Old North Road... (he noted with curiosity)
