Getting postfix to listen on two ports

I cannot imagine anyone out there hasn't figured this out yet.. but postfix just totally and completely rocks. After years of dealing with the hell that is sendmail this is a breath of fresh air.

I wanted to configure postfix to listen on two ports (smtp and 26) for those whose ISPs block outgoing port 25 and turns out it was a one liner change.. how great is that.

In master.cf:

26 inet n - n - - smtpd
# postfix reload

Done.

yep, postfix rox, it configures easier, its configuration is human readable, and it does what you want without fuss. i highly recommend it. works great with mailman too.

Wietse Venema is an interesting guy..although he has been getting some flack from DJB (tinydns, qmail) for his statements. However, postfitx rocks, don't get me wrong. I am in love with it now ever since erm..somebody introduced me to it. =)

After years of dealing with sendmail, "a series of blows to the head" would be like a breath of fresh air :-)

Even though sendmail has finally lost its place as "the reason you care about CERT advisories", it really is tuned to solve a problem that we stopped having decades ago...

It would really rock if Postfix supported using things like Procmail on virtual accounts.. well.. it's still much better than anything else out there. (Please don't get me started on Exim)
