No bike..
After an unsuccesful (and rather embarassing) attempt to tune my bike myself, I gave up and took it to a bicycle shop.. unfortunately they're booked solid and it won't be back for a week..
I suppose I could have gone to the big sports supply store and had it back in an hour.. but (one) I hate those big stores and (two) I'd rather support the little shop anyway.. finally (three) somehow I can't imagine a 16 year old would do a better job on my bike than the 40-some year old biking fanatic down at the cycle shop..
So no biking for me this weekend *sniff*

I really need to start biking to work again. I've really fallen out of the habit. Hm. But now I have a laptop to lug around. Maybe I should just bike before work, like I used to last summer. Either way, I need to get my ass back on my bike on a regular basis. Given the weather we have here, it's a crime not to.
I should probably be sleeping...

Z, there are some decent backpack laptop cases available. I used to trek from my Mom's 3.5 miles to Owens CC with .3 metric tons of Math texts on my back. 8 pounds for a LT would be easy.
Unless it's the XP laptop. With all that bloatware, you'd be hard pressed to find a big enough case.
