Connecticut..

[.. excuse me while I whine.. ]
... is a vast cultural wasteland. I only know one person that admits to enjoying this state, my boss.
Nearest Japanese restaurant to me is a half hour drive and it's really not all that great.. even if it is supposed to be the best in Connecticut. Granted, there's one decent Thai place in Middletown, pretty good Malaysian and Indian restaurants (one of each) in New Haven...

Rest? Chains, starbucks and Dunkin Donuts.

Weather? Hot and humid in the summer cold in winter.

Friends? Most have moved out.. (most to California, go figure).

Why am I still here? Gives me something to complain about.

Well, you don't know what you're missig out here! :P

Manchester has everything you ever wanted for chains. The pike is also starting to get everything too. They do have nice bike trails here though :). As far as winter I think global warming is starting to catch up with us :-/...

Any good Polish restaurants?

ack.. suburban hell.. okay, that's worse than living in CT :)

Hi, unix girl! I'm one myself. :) When you get a chance, could you drop me an email, or aim me at kity1kity? I couldn't find an email or contact link on your site... :) thanks!

Ex Connecticut Resident here -- Head down to fairfield county and the restaurant selection gets *much* better. Milford also has a few decent restaurants including 1 good sushi place, 1 indian and 1 thai (can't remember names of any -- sorry).
