Oracle must be doing badly..

To put advertising in sqlplus quit message.

SQL> quit;
Disconnected from Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.1.0 - Production With the Partitioning, OLAP and Oracle Data Mining options JServer Release 9.2.0.1.0 - Production

I mean really.. we already bought it, we know what features it has, thanks though!

They should have put the price in the message too. :-)

Probably the advertising will change later to promote the next release edition... and you'll not be able to quit until buying it! :)

In large, complex environments, this sort of information is invaluable as an "idiot check" for developers and (especially) implementers alike.

Still, the verbosity probably should be controllable.
