New powerbooks?
Rumors about new powerbooks being released in the very near future.. and since my new one is backordered.. I've decided to cancel that order and wait for the really, really new ones.
I just wish someone would confirm the gossip :)
I did order a new iPod today though.. 15GB.. ah, I feel like a kid again.. all these new toys.

But i think this is the time they change the line of their powerbooks and the rumor is all over the net..
Maybe at the Apple Europe Expo they will show the new models, i think its in september?
By the way my iPod is the thing i use the most everyday..

A friend ordered himself one of those 17" IMacs a while ago and Apple revamped the range and reduced the price while his order was being processed.
Not only did they email him to say they were upgrading his order to the new version they credited his account with the price difference without him having to ask.
cool huh?

Yeah, the do do the price changes, especially on a backordered item. Some groups also get a 14 day price protection. I don't know yet what the changes will be, but the TiBook is pretty much the 'oldest' product in the Apple line, so it really is due for the update. At the least, it will get the AE card...

I can confirm that I've heard the rumours but not much more than that. Apple does a very very good job of keeping secrets and they're being very very tight lipped on their notebook line. The 12" is down to $1299 for EDU users, so I would say that a Rev B of the 12" and 17" and a Rev A of the new 15" are coming, but it's been this way for weeks already and not a peep from Cupertino... as to the iPod, congrads! I've had a Gen 1 for over 1 1/2 years now and it's what corrupted me into a Mac user in the first place :)

I've got to make the switch over to the Apple stuff. But it's soooo expensive.
Saving pennies...
