Fall is here
Sitting at my desk drinking my morning coffee and watching the sheets of rain fall outside the window while I wait for a CVS update to finish. It's really quite fascinating - the water patterns formed by the wind.. of course the drive to work itself wasn't quite so pretty or interesting...
It's a feeling I have often.. watching something like this, wishing I had my camera on hand -- more often than one would imagine -- but the realization always comes quick: I don't think I can duplicate this in a photograph.. wasted effort? Perhaps. I wish I had whatever it takes to present what I see to others in a way that I see it. Invariably, there's something missing when I try.
A depressing thought on a fall morning.

Reminds me of that MS researcher wanting to store all memories ... waste of time. The memories we have are not able to be stored or duplicated. Don't bother.

There is alot of technology available to capture a moment in time, audio, visual, etc. But really, what matters is how you feel about it. Writing it down on paper, or here in your blog is probably the most meaningful way of capturing and recording special moments/memories. Just my 2 cents.....

Funny- my name is Kasia too--and my blog has the same name as yours--we must be twins in a parallel universe or something

Hi Kasia (the original one)! I agree with Ben. It's all about living in the moment and experiencing it 100%. Any attempts at trying to 'capture it' may ruin it.
I can never understand how people spend up to 4 hours taking professional pictures
on their wedding day! Wouldn't that time be better spent enjoying the day with your family and friends?
On the other hand, maybe what you are really feeling is a need to express yourself more. Maybe you do 'have whatever it takes', but like with anything else, it takes time to get really good at it.
