I have icicles on my car

It's cold in the bowels of Connecticut lately, actually, it's very cold. Three degrees right now (that's not Celsius) and wind-chill of a negative value.I don't like cold weather, technically I don't like hot weather either, but I definitely do not like cold weather. In fact it's so cold I'm sitting under a warm blanket with a warm powerbook in my lap, surrounded by warm cats and refuse to stick my nose outside the nicely-heated indoors. Why bother? I can complain about cold inside.

I was talking with Karl earlier and we both concluded that we hate people who live in the warm climates.. Not all of them, just the ones who make sure we know it's warm where they are while we're freezing our asses off on the eastern seaboard. Here, imagine a big, ascii middle finger.

-9 here now, heading for -14. Unholy.

Heh, I went to high school in Wisconsin when it hit -30F. I think I've earned my time in a warm climate.

Yeah it's cold. It's -25 Celcius (-13F) here in Montreal right now. -32 C (-25 F) if you count the wind factor. Not a time to sleep outside.

I guess anybody with no good sense to live where it's nice would be resentful of those of us who have that good sense :-)

According to m'blog its 0F and -15F w/WC and I'm further south than kasia. Bah. Even Seattle rain would be better than this.

Icicles! I'd KILL for icicles! 30+ (Celsius) here, and it's AWFUL!

39F/4C right now. Pretty cold for this city at least.

Just a little colder up here in MA, -1 right now. I started pulling on stuff to go get coffee and looked at the temp and decided that I would be insane to go out in this weather so am making some at home.
Why can't there be delivery service for these kinda things???

It was 5 degrees when I got home last night. It's crept up to about 8 now.

By the way, that ASCII middle finger you want is 132 = 0010000100 (for those of us who count binary on our fingers).

It's 32 out there (and 30 in here), and this is not Farenheit. I'll gladly trade you any time.

I lived through winters in Buffalo and Chicago and have been to the Middle East in the summer.

Personally, I'd prefer Connecticut. When the power's out, it's easier to sleep in a cold room than it is a hot one.

Note to all: Put warm socks on Kasia's wish list for next Christmas.

I'm with Jeremy and Steve on this one ;)

Hmmmm.... I normally live in London where it's mild and grey, I'm now in NC where it's nippy - but not as cold as Connecticut, and I've lived in Hong Kong where it's just darn right hot and humid!! I prefer the hot - there's always the shade, the pool and the AC!

There was frost on the door hinges this morning...Eek...

kasia, you will find that Dan is a much more annoying ass than Jeremy is when it comes to this cold weather bullshit...

just surfed in...great work

Brandt's right. Though I don't do it so much anymore, having been here a while now. But that first winter I lived in NC after moving from NW Ohio...well, I was pretty much sending comparative weather reports every few hours. Being freed from a quarter century of frozen snot had me bubbling with excitement.

I think I'll have lunch out on the patio today. It's only in the low 50s, but the sun is nice and warm.

its so cold over here too...:( i need a holiday
