Gmail is an anonymous mailer

Someone I know is getting weird emails from a gmail account and asked me to look into it. Obviously, first things first, I checked the headers for the originating IP. Guess what? It appears gmail doesn't include that in headers.

I suppose we now have to rely on google to get anywhere with harassing emails, spam and other badness. Google -- policing the Internet, great.

[AND] Recently I receive spams (more than a few of them) whose disclosed recipient email address is very close to my email, even though this specific email I have never used.
Are they testing their spam filters by letting spammers harvest emails through a listing?? Might be!

probably just spamming randomness @ random.isp.com or something, till they hit upon something.

i can't sign on YM, the id rejected. how i can fix this matter
