The end to slacking

I'm starting my new job next Tuesday, it's pretty much the same technologies (Java web services, etc) I worked with before but for a little more money and for a bigger company (specifically, a bank). Actually, it's apparently pure karma as I'll now get to fix the very things I complained about just a month ago. Go figure!

I'm all excited, there are cows living next door to the office. (Excited about the job, not the cows, the cows are just amusing)

Congratulations.
I cant figure what kind of bank with cows...

Cows? Why do they get you all excited? Some sort of weird fetish? I'm surprised - being the flaming liberal you are I figured you'd be totally vegan.

Congrats :)
Since when do banks own cows? I'm still awaiting the day I get a decent job offer via my blog ;)

It's amusing, the office is located next to a small dairy farm and you can see the cows out the windows.

I guess that's Connecticut for you!

Congrats! Good luck at the new job.

What garrett said!!
Glad to see you back in the ranks of the employed! Make sure you can close your windows, come summer!

Cows are *always* amusing.

Moooooooooooo...

If you work late and need a break you can go cow tipping. :)

Congrats on the job.

Note: No cows were hurt during this post and I have never gone cow tipping. I'm a city boy.

Wow! Congrats. Cows are cool and so are u!

Glad to hear the good news.

I have cows in a wheat field outside my dining room window. They really relax you, because one look at cows and the whole world gets back into perspective.

Cows are lucky, they never worry about Unix versus Windows, what version of Java they have, or DLL Hell.

One word of advice, never smack a cow-patty with a bull whip, they dry on the outside first. I learned this lesson as a 6 year old, the hard way.

Good luck. Make lots of friends at work.

This topic (non-law aspect of it) was addressed in what I thought was a good article (that I remembered well enough that could go find a reference to it) in Scientific American back in Nov 2003. I am now pleased to find that it is directly available online for any of you that might be interested: Scientific American: Does Race Exist? http://www.sciam.com/article.cfm?articleID=00055DC8-3BAA-1FA8-BBAA83414B7F0000&ref=sciam

Congrats!

And since there are cows, I guess you'll be in good company!

*ducks*

Sorry. I just couldn't pass this one up. :-)

Karma - wow now you going to be in the 'eat own dog food' crew :-)

Bonus you got a view through a window, I only get to see the window.

Don't you just love a new year ?

Congrats
