Working for a bank is a little different

Evidently, nearly a year later, I am still adjusting. Drove to work today just to discover the parking lot empty and building devoid of any life. I wonder if I'm the only one who didn't realize today is a holiday?

heh. I work for the govt and I'm at work today. :/

that's too funny. I'm a veteran and I'm at work today! what a shame.

Same as dank. I am a veteran working on Veteran's Day so is the guy in the next office. Go figure.

Apparently, I'm the only one here who doesn't realise it's "the evening".

We don't get most holidays off anyway, just like the 4 major ones. I think holidays should either be celebrated universally or not at all. What pisses me off is when a holiday that my company doesn't observe delays my paycheck by a day - an electronic, automatic, direct-deposit paycheck - WTF? We all worked that day, I don't care if the bank was closed Monday, my bills are still due the SAME TIME as before.

Working for a bank. Wow. How. Exciting. Zzz...
